April 2023, my first prepared piano kind of soundtrack is OUT!

This music was composed and recorded in the movie set for Esme Madra’s “Stormers” within a week. Because the movie was shot mostly night time I had to save the daytime for creation, sitting at the piano, searching, going back an forth on the white keys mostly, turning the piano into a prepared one with thanks to dear John Cage. This music represents not only the mood of the film but the friendship and many good memories around it in the making. Not all of the tracks were used in the original score but I see it as a whole so here I wanted to share it in its entirety. Other than the beautiful upright piano (the specific one on the cover), I brought in my special samplers (so called “parrots” engineered by my good friend Görkem Özdemir), a nipple gong all the way from Thailand and the dear old SP-404SX fulfilled with tape drones. Good food, a perfect team, many laughs, the island vibe, bicycle rides, scent of the sea, the power of the major 3rd, seagulls, stray dogs and cats, thanks to All.
